Diana - The first Huskergirl from Phoenix!

A decade of Huskergirls presented on this blog and finally we get around to capturing one in a cornfield!! Although not husking corn, it would seem that most of her clothes were husked right off of her.  Exactly how that happened remains a mystery; the important thing is that Huskergirls.com was able to record the event.

Diana is from Phoenix, Arizona. A first for our blog. She comes to us without a single shock of hair. Another first for our blog. Diana brings us a unique look for the Huskergirl collection! We hope to see her again!

Hayley - A Huskergirl from Toronto!

I always love my time in Canada and meeting Hayley was one reason why.  Hayley and I decided to work on some images one evening and now we have a new Huskergirl! Among the many ideas we pursued, one was to capture similar poses but really different contexts. I think we accomplished that with this set! 

Coy, reluctant but willing is the vibe she transmits in these two photos. 

She came in to work on these on her birthday.  Her birthday party was going to be the next day, but it seemed special to be doing this on her birthday. 
Hayley is an accomplished fine art model and I appreciate her indulgence in getting these shots for the Huskergirl blog. 

Our goal was  to collaborate and produce some art and now we have accomplished that! Note: this is not to say that the Huskergirls images aren't art in their own right! 

Although we shot this last November, I can now say that I have one of my favorite images as part of a gallery show in Los Angeles. The image is titled "Woman at Door" demonstrating once again that my creativity in photography is vastly superior to my ability to come up with names for images.

Katya: the Huskergirl from the Beach

August is going to turn out to be a big month for Huskergirls. Why? The Huskergirl's photographer worked with four girls this month.

Well, Katja is one big reason. Katja is an eye-catching college student in Southern California. Sultry, exotic, and naturally erotic. We've started the Huskergirl Short Photoessay Series with Katja. This is volume 1 and includes Penthouse style photos available (link below).

Tarra from Las Vegas has graced our pages before and she stopped by for a visit and took a moment to pose with the Huskercat (see huskercat.com).  If you're not familiar with the Huskercat, you should be and go to his blog and see what he's all about!

Ok, there's got to be a story behind a photo like this! And there is. And you're not going to hear it here because we were sworn to secrecy. Sorry! That said, this is the very lovely Jessica who ended up briefly a Huskergirl, by chance, due to her ... shall we say ... unforeseen set of circumstances.  Jessica is from Redlands, California and was thankful to have this towel thrown to her. The circumstances were absolutely, without a doubt, unforeseen.  She had no idea that this day was going to involve so much red velvet wedding cake. 

Let them eat cake! - that's what the fancy French post title says.

Photo tease ... Kira style

Kira is a regular on the Huskergirl Project blog.  Why?  Ok, that would be a stupid question! Why? Seriously?  How clueless would such a question asker need to be??  If you can't figure that out, you need to find a remedial blog to read! Or a good ophthalmologist! Open your eyes! Nobody is that libidinally challenged!!

So why is this post labeled a "photo tease?"  This is a much more probative question. This photo is part of a larger set that was taken poolside where Kira can be seen on this towel as well as hiding behind it. I might add that she wasn't hiding very well if you catch my drift. And if you don't like white bikini's ... no worries ... she's not wearing it in all the shots! If you haven't subscribed to the Huskergirl blog, her upcoming photos would be an excellent reason to take that step to your personal self-actualization.

Kira - the occasional Huskergirl from Portland, Oregon!

Kira is the feminine form of the Russian word Kir that can be translated as "One the people look to."  That seems about right!  And in case the viewer is inclined to make any blonde jokes at Kira's expense, note that she has an earned Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art and a measured IQ of 136. If you're not familiar with IQ numbers like this, it basically means that she's smarter than you. :) 

Huskergirl.com goes to the big city!

By "big city" we mean Seattle. It's about Omaha size although some might consider it a hipper place. Kira, one of our favorite Huskergirls, drove up from Portland for this shoot (and some sushi afterwards). For all the Nebraska viewers, sushi is like raw fish bait but you eat it and pay a lot of money for it! Uncooked seaweed is often part of this.

Kira - Our Spring Special!

I was really happy to have Kira visit this spring. She was visiting southern California for a week and we spent two of those days shooting for several projects.  

 

We shot some images for the Christmas season so stay tuned to see more of Kira then! 


A documentary crew was present for the first day of this shoot.  They are hoping to sell a program on internet modeling to late night HBO or ShowTime. This is a shot I took of Kira as the interview was about to start. Yes, that's Liam, The Huskercat, strolling onto the set!

What you're seeing here is a possible image for the 2012 Huskergirls calendar.  It's a little hard to imagine that Kira won't be representing one of the months!

Huskergirls in Vegas!

We were at the largest Halloween party in Vegas - over 6,000 people. This party went from 8pm to around 4 the next morning! I've shot with Daizee before. She was a Huskergirl back in 2007.

So coy.  So shy... NOT Tarra has graced the Huskergirl blog several times and is one of most frequently photographed Huskergirls. She certainly knows how to wear red! It was great to run into both of them while at the Vegas Halloween party. They're both sweethearts.

Kira graces our Huskergirls blog again!

Kira visited for a couple days - coming down from Oregon. She's one of our favorite house guests. For the purpose of our mini-shoot for Huskergirls, she was a blonde. She is a terrific blonde! See the bottom of this post for one of her topless swimsuit photos.

In this next photo, we get a glimpse of what a fun girl she is to hang out with!  And that's not just because she's prone to taking her clothes off!  Although the Husker t-shirt is a simple piece of apparel, Kira is able to display and present it in a variety of ways.

This is a remarkable image.  I was able to capture Kira at her most pensive and introspective moment of the day while holding the Rembrandt color card. This image engages the viewer in a way the others don't.

Here Kira really shows off this Husker cropped-T with her killer smile. Her smile is a registered weapon in her home state of Oregon. We got a lot of reflected sunlight just as the sun was going down in this shot.

This is an image from our swimsuit set. I apologize for her not wearing her complete swimsuit. We were getting more reflection from the setting sun on this photo.

Kymberlie Jane - Bad Ass Huskergirl

This is another image from a set I did with Kymberlie. It was fun shooting with her since we did a bunch of Huskergirl sets. It really didn't make any difference if she was in a jersey, a t-shirt, or halfway out of her clothes, she really puts out a great image. Now this is funny. Kymberlie asked don't football players wear black under their eyes? Yes, I said. Curious, apparently, she wondered why? To cut down on light reflection, I thought. So let's be authentic, she said, and she pulled out some dark eye-shadow and did herself up very realistic. So it was eye-shadow that gave her this bad-ass look. Ya gotta love irony!Kymberlie now has more sets on Huskergirls.com than any other girl! There will be more too since she only lives a half an hour from me. I'll have to get her back here!

Kymberlie-Jane: Losing the Panties

Isn't the Husker hairclip just adorable on her? I hate to use a cliche but she seems like the girl next door with how down to earth and fun she is. Of course, then you see a set of photos like these and you realize this isn't a girl next to your door!These are just a few shots from quite a set. We've been pushing the edge of Midwestern conservatism with this set. Ok, this crossed the line of Midwestern conservatism. So shoot me! I doubt that I'll hear any complaints. And in case you're wondering, yes, there will be more photos available, but not posted to the blog.

Kymberlie-Jane - Squirmin' around

I figured that Kymberlie would know what to do in front of the camera since she appeared in April's issue of Playboy. I mean ... you do the math, right? So what's a photographer to ask her to do? I just said go ahead and squirm around.As a glamour photographer, you end up saying all kinds of peculiar things to girls. Or at least out of context they would seem mighty peculiar.Kymberlie was great with this set. The Husker t-shirt, on the other hand, honestly had trouble containing her. She was great to work with and open to doing all kinds of sets for the Huskergirl viewers. She's a real sweetheart! Thank you, Kimberly!

Kymberlie Jane - Problems at the Stadium!

This would be a socially awkward scenario, wouldn't it! One would only hope to be in the right spot at such a wrong moment. We were just having some cheesy fun with this!

Mikano - the Theatrical Huskergirl!

Let me introduce Mikano! She is the latest Huskergirl. There's so many words to describe her. She's awsomely adorable and cute and just the sweetest thing. And she gives the Huskergirl Project an international flavor. She wore the shortest jean skirt to our shoot. Ordinarily that would be just fine.

I'm certainly not complaining about the skirt! She looked perfect in it and it really showed her off. I asked her to sit Indian style while we took the photos. It turns out that was a good thing since we discovered that she had that Husker style-sense to wear red panties. Perhaps not the best example of modesty, but that was my fault, not Mikano's.
Modesty is a slippery slope though. We both agreed the red panties were an adorable touch to the images. She commented that she should have worn a red bra which begs the question as to what color bra she was wearing. I asked Mikano if she wouldn't mind showing that for the photos - for the benefit of Husker fans all over the world. It would be a useful cultural lesson for all of us. She was a little surprised by my request as can be seen in the above photo.
That said, she took seriously the request and pondered it. I certainly didn't want her to undress any more than she would be comfortable with. However she thought it might be fun and it should be obvious to the viewer that she started flirting with the camera like she had done this before. Actually, Mikano is a professional theater performer in Seattle where I met her. She's very comfortable in front of a camera.
She was a lot of fun to work with and I really appreciate her helping out with the Huskergirl project. She's just a lovely person! I guess that's enough photos for now. There are more. A funy one is where she took her top off and threw it at me and I got a shot of it flying through the air at me. I have to say, it doesn't get any better than this - doing the Huskergirl Project for the fans!

Elise - Seattle Huskergirl!

Elise is from Seattle and helped out the Huskergirl project. We shot this in Seattle. It was late at night and impossible to get to a more picturesque location. But Elise conveys that very sexy girl-next-door image that is hard to get out of your mind. She is tons of fun to hang with.
She's also an incredible dancer. She went to Argentina and became enamored with the tango. We went out to see her dance instructor in a performance earlier in the evening and Wow! Didn't get to see Elise dance, but it's hard to imagine that she wouldn't be wonderful at it! She certainly has the legs for it! I'm afraid I don't know how to make a good transition here ....

After the evening was over, I had to take Elise back to St. Francis of Assisi convent. She's part of the health-care apostolate where she leads up the pet and dance therapy teams. Those are separate teams - they're not teaching pets to dance! She was formerly a cloistered fully enclosed contemplative nun. Needless to say, cloistered contemplatives lead a hermetical life-style and rarely pose for Huskergirl photos. And by rarely I mean never!

Kymberlie-Jane - Trouble with Red Tape!

Well, Kymberlie-Jane is someone we here at Huskergirls have been wanting to get in front of the camera for a long time! I'm happy to report that finally it happened. I'll make three different sets of her being an incredibly hot Huskergirl.

If Kym looks familiar you may recently have been reading the April Playboy. She's been in lots of magazines. She is one of the reasons why it's been mighty fine to have the Global Headquarters of Huskergirls in Southern California. She has relatives in Nebraska and was thrilled to shoot for HG.

When I told Kym that there was some red tape we needed to deal with she was all ready to do the model release. Except that wasn't the red tape I had in mind. You have to admit - that was some funny confusion. I wasn't aware until we shot this of how much being all tied up causes problems with one's shirt. I suppose the tight-ass photo critic might whine about the shirt riding up. Well ... live and learn. 

Kym is one of those people who is totally fun to hang with. She had all kinds of ideas for different shots and us HG readers are going to be the beneficiaries of that!

Jessika, a SoCal Huskergirl, and the red panty dilimma

Jessika faces the same problem that all huskergirls face, i.e., which red panties to wear on game day. This is a complex problem given that most huskergirls have quite a few red panties. 

But Jessika was born in Southern California and is a SoCal girl all the way through. As a results she's not about to shy away from important and difficult decisions. I was fortunate enough to record this entire decision process with my camera and I'll add more photos later to this post, but I thought it was important to the Huskergirl fans to get a few pics of Jessika out as soon as possible!

We haven't had a blonde on Huskergirls.com for awhile and it's wonderful to have someone as lovely as Jessika. She has that SoCal blonde loveliness with a girl next door projection of innocence. I hope we'll see more of her here!

Melissa: Huskergirl from New York

This is Melissa and is our first 2009 Huskergirl. She is from New York but has relatives in Nebraska and was an enthusiastic Huskergirl! She's obviously a gorgeous Huskergirl, but she's all about brains too! She's about to graduate from an Ivy League university - can't beat that! Curt first met her in 2005; she's a smart cookie, genuine, just the sweetest thing, and a lot of fun too.

She's a classy addition to the Huskergirl group as can be seen in the first photo. We apologize for her shirt riding up like it did in the second photo. That was entirely the photographer's fault for not noticing this. Melissa is a professional model and would not have let this happen on her own.

We're very proud of her - she's put herself through college and did that at a top-notch university to boot!

Ashley - A Huskergirl from Florida!

Ashley is a good sport. Being a girl from Florida and putting up with being asked to be a Huskergirl. Because any Husker fan knows exactly what comes to mind when we hear the word Florida. That's right! FIESTA BOWL!!!

Yes, #1 Nebraska Cornhuskers playing against #2 Florida Gators. Both undefeated. Many thinking that Florida was the better team and this game would shake things out to show that.

The mere mention of the Fiesta Bowl reminds one of the greats like Tom Osborne, Frazier, Farley, that naughty Lawrence Phillips, Jamel Williams, Booker, Holstein, Kris Brown, Eric Stokes, Tony Veland, Ahman Green, the unforgetable Brook Berringer, Christian Peter and how he was robbed of his defensive touchdown, Grant Wistrom, Matt (the Terminator) Turman and the classy end of the game where the team showed great mercy.

And one can hardly forget Tommy Frazier's 75 yard Heisman Touchdown run where he breaks the tackles of about 14 Florida defensive players!

Nebraska wins their second straight national title beating Florida 62-24. It was a sweet, sweet game. OMG - Ashley flashed us up there!! Ok, yes, that will get your attention and bring us back to our Huskergirl of the day! Ashley is a real sweetie, tons of fun, serious party girl, tall with legs that don't end, and she loves strawberries! Seriously, she loves strawberries. Oh - and her vehicle is a 1992 Cadillac hearse! Really!
